Education has always been a major focus of The W. Garfield Weston Foundation.

Reta Lila Weston, the wife of Garfield Weston, taught school in rural Saskatchewan and there have been teachers in each subsequent generation of the family.

For four decades, the Foundation has supported various initiatives in education, without advocating one method of schooling over another.
