In addition to its major commitments in education and environment, The W. Garfield Weston Foundation makes a number of grants which the trustees seek out themselves.

They reflect a wide variety of interests and address needs in urban and rural Canada. These include medical and nutritional research, to programs in the arts and culture, community and heritage projects, education and environment.

Due to the focused nature of its grant-making, the Foundation is not accepting applications at this time.
